The Opportunity
Sometimes the best projects come from work you've already completed.
Earlier this year, Beaumont Studio had filmed Ascot Racecourse as part of another production. Unknown to us at the time, our aerial footage had also captured the recently completed installation of hundreds of solar panels across the roof of the famous grandstand. The footage caught the attention of Ortus Energy.
Having seen the quality of our cinematography and recognising that the installation featured prominently in our drone footage, the team contacted Beaumont Studio to ask whether we could produce a dedicated corporate film showcasing their latest renewable energy project.
The brief was clear.
Create a premium corporate video that highlighted the scale, quality and environmental impact of the installation while reflecting the professionalism of both Ortus Energy and Ascot Racecourse.
It needed to be visually engaging, informative, professionally edited and delivered on time and within budget.

The Project
The completed installation at Ascot Racecourse represents a significant investment in renewable energy and demonstrates how prestigious venues can embrace sustainable technology without compromising architectural design.

Rather than simply presenting statistics, the challenge was to communicate the true scale of the installation through powerful visual storytelling. Only aerial cinematography could properly reveal how the solar array integrates into one of Britain's most recognisable sporting venues.
Understanding the Brief
Corporate video production is about far more than flying a drone.
Before filming began, we spent time understanding exactly what Ortus Energy wanted the finished film to achieve.

Returning to Ascot Racecourse
Although Beaumont Studio already possessed excellent aerial footage of Ascot Racecourse, we believed the project deserved more.
Rather than relying solely on existing material, we returned to site to capture additional drone footage and high-resolution photography specifically for Ortus Energy.
This allowed us to create new angles, improved close-up shots of the solar installation and additional imagery that better demonstrated the size and quality of the completed project.
It's this willingness to go beyond the original brief that often makes the difference between producing a good corporate video and creating something exceptional.
Filming with Precision
Every Beaumont Studio production begins long before the drone leaves the ground.
Airspace restrictions, weather forecasts, flight planning and risk assessments all play an important role in ensuring filming is completed safely, legally and efficiently. Using the latest professional drone technology, we captured a range of cinematic aerial sequences including:

Back at the studio, production moved into the editing phase. Our editing process is designed to turn raw footage into compelling visual stories. Every sequence was carefully selected to create a natural flow, allowing viewers to appreciate both the scale of the venue and the precision of the solar installation.
Professional colour grading enhanced the footage while maintaining a clean corporate aesthetic. Music was selected to reinforce the premium feel of the production without distracting from the message.

Feedback was straightforward and constructive. Following a small number of revisions, the final film was approved.
The project remained on schedule, within budget and delivered exactly as promised.
